Dear Shasta County Sportsman Association,

Thank you for the opportunity on Sunday December 7th 2008 for sponsorship of disabled veterans to participate in the sporting clay shoot and pheasant hunt at the Stillwater club in Anderson, Ca.

My brother, Charles George of Red Bluff was in attendance. He is 100% disabled as he is missing his left leg from injuries suffered in the service of our great nation.

I was his team mate and attendant during this event at Stillwater Sportsman Club.

We enjoyed ourselves as many others did who also attended this event.

I particularly want to make note of when we as group faced Old Glory and recited the Pledge of Allegiance, the volume and pride in the voices of those in attendance, hand on their heart, hat in hand.

I would like to mention Doyle and the rest of the crew at Stillwater for their assistance in making this a very memorable event for all.

The sporting clay range there is challenging to say the least.

The Pheasant hunt was a great success.

A thanks to Olde West for the donation of the Ruger 10/22 my brother won, he squealed with joy!

I can not remember him ever having a better time.
